Hi, I’m Liz.

A few years ago, I noticed that working in my garden and learning about plants are on a short list of things that wholly capture my attention for hours. While at work, doing the mental math on my soonest possible retirement date, I found myself redesigning our front yard in my head and then going home to read the Xera plant catalog for ideas. Plants were constantly on my mind and I loved it.

At the same time, I had long been wrestling with how I could put my energy into something beneficial for the environment.

After many hours of personal reflection, a lot of encouragement from my spouse, and some solid examination of my values, I realized that landscape design was my calling. The perfect blend of art and science, designing landscapes is also one small way that I can make something meaningful and helpful for our world.

I felt called to do it - I had never experienced that before.
